We can have Part configurations that change features, dimensions, materials, and custom properties. We can have Assembly configurations that change components, assembly features, dimensions, configuration-specific custom properties, or simplified versions.<\/p>\n<p>For our top-level assembly BOMs, we can select additional configurations to show the Quantity for each component per configuration.<\/p>\n<p>For example, our Test Assembly has 3 configurations, named Configuration1, Configuration2 and Configuration3.<\/p>\n<p>Configuration 1 has components A, B, C and D<\/p>\n<p>Configuration 2 has components A, B and (2) C components<\/p>\n<p>Configuration 3 has (2) A components, (2) B Components and (2) D Components.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"954\" height=\"937\" class=\"wp-image-177935\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/text-description-automatically-generated-with-low.jpeg\" alt=\"Text Description automatically generated with low confidence\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/text-description-automatically-generated-with-low.jpeg 954w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/text-description-automatically-generated-with-low-300x295.jpeg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/text-description-automatically-generated-with-low-768x754.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 954px) 100vw, 954px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lets jump to our drawing and create a Bill of Material using Configuration1.<\/p>\n<p>To show additional configurations in the BOM, the BOM must be a Top Level BOM type.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"976\" height=\"562\" class=\"wp-image-177936\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/a-picture-containing-table-description-automatica.jpeg\" alt=\"A picture containing table Description automatically generated\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/a-picture-containing-table-description-automatica.jpeg 976w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/a-picture-containing-table-description-automatica-300x173.jpeg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/a-picture-containing-table-description-automatica-768x442.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 976px) 100vw, 976px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To add a QTY column for the other configurations, expand the Configuration field and select which Configurations to include in the BOM.
